Try describing your setting in detail; it may help you come up with a new direction for your story to go.

Find a way to incorporate a symbol into your story. (For example, in To Kill A Mockingbird, a mockingbird symbolizes the death of innocence. You could also just add in something important to your character, like roses in Beauty and the Beast.)

Plot Twist Idea:

Bring an object into your story that symbolizes or brings back memories from their past. (Like in Toy Story 3 with Baby’s heart-shaped locket! 😀 )

Writer’s Block Idea:

If you need something to help you tie pieces of your plot together, use a symbol that means something to all of your characters.
