True Beauty

What does true beauty look like? In 1 Samuel 16:7, God tells Samuel that: “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” We shouldn’t judge beauty by outward appearances’ we should look at people’s hearts. Instead of judging others or ourselves by what the media tells us beauty is, we should look at everyone, including ourselves, with God’s view of true beauty. The one who has Jesus in their heart and follows his commands is truly beautiful.

A Text Message From a Friend

I thought this text message I got from a friend of mine was worth posting. Enjoy!

How is your heart? We tend to spend much more time, energy, and money on the outside. What good is a beautiful exterior to a black and dying soul?

“There could never be a more beautiful you.” Those words are so true. There’s only one you! I also love this part: “So turn around, you’re not too far, to back away, be who you are, to change your path, go another way, it’s not too late, you can be saved…” No matter where you are, God can always save you. He can help you see yourself for who you really are, and he can show you your true beauty and rescue you.
